There’s no shortage of ways to show clients that you care. Here are some that have resonated with the families I serve: sending hand-written birthday cards in addition to calling them on their birthday, calling them on Thanksgiving Day to thank them for the opportunity to be of service, calling them on their religious holiday to ask what they are most grateful for, mailing them newspaper articles on an issue that is important to them, calling to congratulate them on their team’s big win, and hosting family summits during which the family discusses core values and what aspects of life are most important to them.
